There are basically two categories of baked potato chips: "Fat-Free" and "Reduced Fat" baked potato chips. Fat free baked potato chips are currently made by fabricating, (i.e.: dough formulations and sheeting). Reduced fat potato chips contain some fat because they are baked and quick fried.
But ..LINE of SNACKS Consultants are involved in developing a process whereby potato slices are baked to a crispy potato chip, with an exceedingly long shelf life. Note, the chips come from the potato "slice" itself. Big difference!
Baked Tortilla Chips
The quality of baked tortilla chips does not generally equal that of fried tortilla chips. There are process conditions to improve their flavor and texture which chip makers should investigate. LINE of SNACKS Consultants can be called for assessment.
These two products are commonly produced in the Caribbean and Latin American countries. They are good tasting, flavor packed and should be distributed in the United States. LINE of SNACKS has been requested to source distributors for importing and merchandising the two products.
Platano (or plantain) chips, as well as banana chips, are peeled, sliced, and fried to a tasty, crispy bite with pronounced flavor.
The yucca chips are a strong appealing snack, stable and lending itself to topical flavors. Another fitting product to extend a companys line of snacks.
